Ziggurath is back on Unreal Estate Records with his bone-chilling monumental Wintersynth opus “True North”. Leaving the sunlit deserts and lush jungles of his previous albums behind, Ziggurath journeys on into the barren boreal landscapes of the world’s northernmost reaches.

“One of my most prized possessions is a very banged-up vinyl copy of Bo Hansson´s Lord of the Rings that I found in what you call ‘Sperrmüll’ in German - heaps of stuff that people throw out and that block the street until waste collection takes it away. The record was scratched and warped and the melodies seemed to me like faint silhouettes in a snowstorm. You really had to be attentive and search through the noise to enjoy the unearthly quality of the music. For “True North” I tried to reproduce the feeling of listening to that record.” - Ziggurath.
