How's your English, guys?
I've been learning English for almost 21 years now, and I still can't really say, if I'm fluent, if I know grammar decently, and if I'm able to live in an English-speaking country without a language barrier.
I still don't understand articles, why in the hell they do need them, is it too complicated to actually track what are we talking about at the moment? I make a lot, I mean, A LOT of grammar mistakes here and there, but looks like English speakers understand me 99% of time.
Interestingly, I'm able to comfortably watch Friends, or play Resident Evil, or watch virtually any YouTube video, including university courses and TED talks, but it's a hell to play text-rich games like Diablo or read any fiction, like The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes - I can't do so without using a dictionary twice per any given sentence.
N.B. It is clearly in my muscle memory to copy the whole text, put it in the ChatGPT with "correct mistakes" prompt and put it back, but I deliberately skipped this step, for you, bad-ass English guru to kick me for my mistakes here.
